These are the wonderful people who read my work and check it for typos, errors, plot holes, continuity issues, and dialogue problems. They offer advice and suggestions. They meet any deadline I throw at them and still turn out quality. They’re always there when I need a file checked or when I just need a kind word. I love them like family.

Upon retiring in 2018 after 20+ years working in the medical field, I wanted to follow my passion; which was reading. I read where my favorite author, Angela White, was in need of a Beta Reader and the rest is history. Beta reading by far fulfills my passion for reading. Can’t get enough.

I've loved reading since I was a kid, the cold winters (and summers) in the UK meant I spent many hours / days getting lost in a story. I'm pleased to be able to help Angela as I'm a big fan of LAW- always looking forward to the next one!

Hi, I’m Holly. I like Pina Colada’s, being caught in the rain. I’m not into yoga and yes, I have half a brain.

I like editing because it taps into the skills I used when writing IEP’s for 30 years, being detail oriented and writing coherently. I’m pretty much a live and let live person, as long as no one is harmed or their rights violated.

I have had the pleasure of editing several authors’ works, and the Life After War series has been particularly rewarding. I will be saddened when this series comes to an end. I am a person who enjoys a good laugh and have a positive outlook on life.

I did not enjoy reading until I came across LAW. First book in, I was hooked on this story. The building of characters is amazing, plus keeping a long story like this together where it all makes sense. I love reading and editing these books. Thank you very much for this opportunity. Looking forward to the next one.

“Learn from the mistakes of others, because you’ll never have enough time to make them all yourself.” (Eddie Stinson, a famous aircraft maker, circa 1919; also, among others, Alfred E. Neuman, circa 1951-1957). It’s often saved me a lot of time (at least when I pay attention to it).

Life after war was one of the very first books I started reading when I moved to an E-reader. Becoming one of her beta readers has been an amazing gift.

Sue has been immersed in books from the time she learned to read: by flashlight after bedtime as a child and, now, by tablet before bedtime! A long and varied work experience as administrative and executive assistants has given her an opportunity to edit and correct documents of all kinds. Sue has lived in many parts of Canada and traveled extensively to other countries. She has now retired to Vancouver Island and spends many hours on her sunny ocean-view balcony...reading!

I’ve spent the past 25 years working in law enforcement as a civilian employee, and a big part of my role has been carefully proofreading others’ work to make sure everything is accurate—so beta reading felt like a perfect fit for me!
These days, I'm a proud pet mom to four kittens and a 14-year-old jack-chiweenie who keeps us all on our toes. I enjoy spending my free time painting, crafting, gardening, reading, and catching up on the DVR. I’m a huge fan of Angela’s work and have read just about everything she’s published. Being able to help, well, it's my honor. |
